THERAPY FAQs

  • Not what you’ve seen in the movies. yes, there are couches and chairs in our office, but our therapists provide a safe and comfortable atmosphere while talking to you, not at you. think of the process like sitting down with a trusted person and having a face-to-face, human-to-human conversation with someone that is there to support you while you do life. it’s like sitting down for a coffee and a chat, and we do also have coffee and tea available for you in our waiting room to enhance your experience.

  • Typically clients will start out on a weekly basis while they gain skills and tools to manage life in a healthier way. eventually the process tapers off to twice monthly, then monthly until the client feels comfortable with their growth. this will then progress to the end of the therapy process. Everybody’s process is different, so it can last months to a year or more, depending upon what you’d like to work on. remember, this is your voluntary process and if you decide to terminate at any point, we advise that you talk to your therapist first.

As complex beings, we are created to synergistically function in wholeness in our spirit, soul, and body. When our souls are wounded by negative life experiences, we begin to believe lies about ourselves, the world around us, and God. This leads to the compounding of various negative symptomatic behaviors and thoughts, fueled by a corrupted belief system.

It is in the uprooting of these lies through the Spirit of Truth that we find freedom and wholeness, while discovering our created value and purpose this side of Heaven. The impact of our growth and wholeness is meant to bring healing and freedom to ourselves and others.

I have a heart to serve those that want to unlock their gifts and walk in their Kingdom identity. I specialize in working with church leaders, including those that are part of the 5 fold ministry. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey as I rely on Holy Spirit to lead you to encounter personal breakthrough. Together as the image-bearers of the One, let us seek the mysteries of Him, whose Deep calls unto our deep.

We all function in the context of relationships: with our partners, families, or larger systems such as school, work, church, and other environments. I want to get to know you and your story.

I work with men and women from adolescents into the adult lifespan to get a holistic understanding of the issue of concern and address it within the context of one’s story. I work with individuals, couples, and families to address a variety of issues from anxiety, depression, and communication challenges, to larger family issues that seem “too big” to figure out.

I specialize in working with men in navigating our unique challenges, addressing the stigma that prevents men from seeking help. I want to see men restored in their strength and identity: true freedom comes through understanding the valuable depths of internal strength hidden in one’s emotional world.

I enjoy working with people of all ages and have additional training specialized in working with children and adolescents. I am very interested in play and creativity as tools in promoting wellness and healing. This can look like using art materials to explore emotions or guided visualizations to process and get to the root of an experience or issue.

My goal as a therapist is to support you in the areas of your life that you have identified as needing to be tended to and to be someone who will journey towards wellness alongside you at a pace and with tools that best fit your needs.

In our work together, my hope is for you to be inspired, empowered, and equipped to become who you are meant to be.

Everyone has a story, they just need a safe place to share it. My goal is to empower people and provide that safe space for them to process and find their hope restored. I am passionate about equipping individuals to make intentional decisions to improve overall wellness. I work with adults, children and adolescents,  and alongside parents as they learn how to support their children through the therapeutic process. I use an individualized and collaborative approach in therapy.

My hope for you is to gain revelation and experience growth. Through this journey you will receive a further understanding of your thoughts, patterns, emotions, and values. My heart’s desire for you is to experience freedom and wholeness. For those who choose to incorporate faith, we will honor that by seeking truth, wisdom, and discernment from the Holy Spirit through Prayer and Scripture.

Seeking counseling is a uniquely courageous movement toward growth and wellness. We have identified something that is difficult and/or needs to change in order to live freely. We all experience life in different ways, but the one commonality is that we were never meant to do it alone. Counseling is experiential and requires a holistic perspective. Together we will identify practical and achievable steps to accomplish your goals.

My aim as a therapist is to create a comfortable environment where you feel seen, heard, and valued. I’m dedicated to creating a space for you to move toward your desired growth, change, and freedom. My hope is to come alongside you in the midst of whatever you are experiencing and help in identifying your strengths and giftings, fostering purpose, uncovering who you are and are made to be. I’d be honored to join you in the pursuit of accomplishing meaningful goals to thrive in every area of your life.
